Dear Trading Participant,
To determine final settlement prices, EEX refers on different Power Spot Exchanges across Europe. Based on EU regulation (EU) 2016/1011, EEX introduced a rulebook for that matter. Yesterday, several day ahead auction prices determined for the delivery day 26.06.2024 at EPEX Spot differed significantly from prices that were determined at other Spot Exchanges.
Therefore, EEX as Benchmark Administrator is currently reviewing the suitability of the underlying prices for EEX European Power Futures, within the framework of the Benchmark Statement.
