    In 2018, the law for the “Freedom to Choose one's Professional Future” has introduced the Professional Equality Index in France. This index measures gender equality through five main topics: leadership and talent pool, equality, equal pay and inclusive culture based on the following criteria:

    1. Gender pay gap
    2. Difference in the rate of salary increases
    3. Number of female employees receiving a raise following maternity leave
    4. Parity among the ten highest salaries.
